2012 was awesome, but we’re wishing you an even more fabulous 2013. Before the new year officially hits, we thought we’d share a little Sanctuary T-ea wisdom.

Did you know – tea doesn’t need to stay confined to steep in hot water? In fact, tea infused liquor is dangerously delicious, and perfectly classy for special occasions. Mixed into cocktails, tea can even enhance the aromas of classic cocktails. Here’s how to clink your glasses with some tea while ringing in the new year!

Infusing alcohol with tea only takes three easy steps.

1. Pour alcohol of choice in a clean mason jar.
2. Steep loose-leaf tea in alcohol for 15-30 minutes.
3. Remove tea bags, stir, and mix into any cocktail you like!

A few ideas we’re hoping to try out this year include an old fashioned Manhattan with Darjeeling Flush infused whiskey, and a spiked Egg Nog with Soho Chai infused rum.
